What is a custom wedding invitation?

A custom invitation can be anything that you want it to be. You select the style of the invite, the color of the ink, the paper, the embellishment and the graphic. The sky is the limit.

Are custom invitations more expensive than ordering from traditional wedding books?

We offer you the cost saving alternative by allowing you to assemble the invitations yourself

How do I start?

First you should call and make an appointment. Before you arrive, you should have a sample of your colors as well as the quantity needed. The initial appointment takes about 2 hours.

When should I make the appointment?

An appointment should be made at least 4 months prior to your wedding. It takes approximately 6-12 weeks to complete an invitation depending on the complexity. Also, because we become very busy during wedding season, the more time we have to create the better.

What occurs at the appointment?

At the first meeting, we will let you "play" with various colors of paper and assist you in creating the "look" you are trying to achieve. At this meeting we will also price out your invitation. Also, if you are having difficulty making a decision, our papers are available for purchase.

Can I provide my own graphic?

Can I see a proof?

Yes, you will see your invitation exactly as your guests will be receiving it. We strongly recommend coming into the store to view your final proof.

How soon can I have my invitations after I have proofed them?

You will usually receive the invitations 2-4 weeks after proofing, sometimes sooner. It all depends on our work load at the time. This is why we encourage getting an early start.

What if I want to make my own invitations?

The paper in our store is available to purchase in any quantity.
